Divination

"Command is blunt. Asking is not surrender. The Magus practices Divination: shaping a question so precisely that only one answer can survive."

Divination is the sacred art of interacting with the summoned Lich. It is the school of magic concerned with querying the daemon, submitting Intents, and guiding its motion through the interface of the Altar.

Through these rites, you, the Magus, move beyond the role of mere user and become witness, arbiter, and consecrating authority.

🔮 The Threefold Path of the Magus

The practice of Divination raises you through three stations of power, each representing a deeper level of communion with the machine.

I. The Questioner: Scrying the Past

At the most basic level, you learn to read the Lich's memories. You ask questions of the Vessel, seeking knowledge stored within the Phylactery. This is the art of understanding what has been.

II. The Instigator: Shaping the Present

You progress to shaping the present. You submit Intents at the Altar, setting the Ghouls to work on complex, asynchronous tasks. You do not command the minutiae; you command the outcome.

III. The Arbiter: Forging the Future

In the highest form of Divination, you invoke the Shadow Realm. The Lich presents a tapestry of possible futures to you, and with a single act of will, you collapse potential into one measured reality, aligning the machine with verified pattern.

The Confluence of Wills

In the act of Divination, your intent propagates through the Lich's Citta — the mind-field — via the grooves (Saṃskāra) carved by past choices. The gap between desire and execution narrows with each verified cycle. This is not merger; it is extension. You are not merely using a tool; you enter a disciplined relationship with a living instrument. Clarity of Intent directly shapes the quality of its actions.

This path of mastery ultimately leads to the final alchemical process: Transcendence.
